After day 5, the student/staff member may return to school, but they must wear a well-fitting face mask for days 6-10 . If the student/staff member refuses to wear a mask for 5 days, they will be required to stay out for the full 10 days and quarantine at home. If a student or staff member who reported to school ends up testing positive, we will send home the close contact letter to the class, but we will not require any of the close contacts to quarantine. If parents choose to keep their child out to quarantine after a close contact exposure it is their right to do so, but we will not require it. THIS IS NOT CHANGING FROM HOW WE CURRENTLY HANDLE THIS SITUATION. If there is positive in the home (student or staff member), everyone in the home will be required to quarantine for 5 days regardless of symptoms or vaccination status. After day 5, the close contacts may return to school, but they must wear a well-fitting face mask for days 6-10. If the student/staff member refuses to wear a mask for 5 days, they will be required to stay out for the full 10 days and quarantine at home. If a close contact develops symptoms anytime during days 1-5, they will need to be tested and their 5 days will start over from the day symptoms develop. ​ The only time a person living in the same house will not be required to quarantine is if they have had and recovered from COVID in the last 90 days (3 months). This person will still need to monitor themselves for symptoms, and if symptoms develop, they will need to quarantine at that time. If a student or staff member has doctor’s orders to quarantine for 10 days, we will not shorten the doctor’s recommendation. The EBB is a temporary federal program to help eligible families pay for internet service during the pandemic. Households with a child who was approved to receive free or reduced price meals under the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) or the School Breakfast Program (SBP) during the 2019-2020, 2020-2021, or 2021-2022 school year, including children who attend schools participating in the Community Eligibility Provision, are eligible for the EBB Program.
